A pretty amber-colored piece of labradorite wrapped by hand in .925 sterling silver. Labradorite is a glorious natural stone; it is an amazing form of feldspar that comes to life when the light catches it- then there is a flash of color (labradorescence) across the surface like the northern lights!
I can only hope I did the stone justice with my wire-wrapping job.
[[ Yes- I do sell my jewelry, please see my Journal if you are interested. Thanks! ]]
The wire wrapping is fine! Better than mine anyways! xD
This is much more beautiful than regular labradorite. If only I actually wore jewelry. But this would make a wonderful piece to anyones collection of jewelry or gems. I was wondering, how do you get the silver around the stone so perfectly?
The first thing that came to my mind was how much the colors look like leaves swirling in the autumn wind. Amber, yellow and green against a sky blue backround is how I portray it. (You have to look closely to see it from my point of veiw)
Sorry for the flood of +favs and collections, but I just couldn't help myself! All these beautiful pieces of jewelery have been in my Deviation inbox for a while, and I couldn't pick just a few to +fav.. They're all just so incredible! I'm amazed by the intricate swirls and designs you can create on such small stones.
Although I'm trying to save up my money for the future, I might have to give and and buy one of these, someday!
