... Though the colors on the feathers reminded me more of rich wine colors! But winefeather phoenix just sounds silly. The style of the plumage was inspired by the Quetzal I painted recently. :)

6" x 12" freehand ink and watercolor on cold press.

I love the way your watercolor paintings look. :D

Yeah, I have to agree on the name, "Winefeather" sounds just a bit odd. "Amber" was a great replacement, because it still an uncommon color... At least you didn't do something like "Orangefeather" or any easy name like that. :)

I really love the color choice on this one. It does remind me a bit of wine. Not quite a merlot, but closer to a red? O.o

Anyway, I think you know I admire your watercolor skills. Beautiful work as per usual. I envy your control of the flow.
