AHHHHHH I LOVE THIS SO SO SO MUCH. It's seriously aaaah just the best thing ever. YOU MAKE THE PRETTIEST MOUNTAINS. Like ugh I dream of making painty colorful mountains like that omg it's PERFECT! It has this really bright morning sunrise snow reflecty pink orange peach white sheen to it. It's just amaaaazing. I love how it's all WHITE and then gracefully dances out to be orange and then that gorgeous shade of purplish pink by the base. You can totally imagine how it's catching the sunrise. It's so delicious and perfect. I also love the little rocky bits and the little outcroppings of trees and stuff. They're really a-symmetric and perfect. Plus the closer evergreens have these hints of snow on their branches and I love itttttt. The entire snowy valley it lit so perfectly for a low-light sunrise or something, with only the highest mountain catching the sunlight. Aaaahhh it's amazing! The entire background fits Denali perfectly. I designed him after snowly mountain goats, so he's most well-adapted to cold places like this, so he looks PERFECTLY at home here!
And Denali himself looks PERFECT. You have the most enviable and delicious smooth painty style and it makes him so preeeetty! I love how the bright sunrise light catches his wings like that, and the way the light dances down the bottom of his beard like that. It's DIVINE. It's probably my second favorite part about this the first is the mountain, but colors and mountains are my most favorite thing so I'm sort of biased ahaha. Plus you got his body shape perfectly. Like his thick body and his wide, rounded nose and his big powerful legs. Like you delightfully accentuated his thick tankiness and didn't make him lithe and thin or something like that. It's perfect! PLUS his horns swirl perfectly and play with the delightful colored lighting just aaaaah so perfectly.
This whole thing is SO so amazing. I'm SO delighted that you were willing to take this on and make it so beautiful to boot! I honestly cannot thank you enough!
Oh this is interesting, it has all the appearances of an eastern Oriental like dragon, but built with wings like a western species. I say this for things like the hons, and the hair like mane that runs down the chest; the other part to this is the landscape where the background looks like the mounmtains seen in the Himalaya's, so well done.
This artwork is great! Although I must notice that (in my opinion) you ended up with an opposite effect on the dragon's left wing, making it not-so looking like it sticks out closer to the viewer, but rather that it goes in the other direction. Not wanting to be offensive or anything, just felt like saying it.
I don't know much about shading, but I can at least suggest lightening that lower-arm part of the wing (the shaded part) or, if that doesn't help, completely reverse the shaded and high-lighted spots (lightening the shaded spots and vice versa) on that wing; I tried to make myself clearer but I failed, sorry lol
Wow, this is great! I love the color palette for this one and how the colors of the dragon and the background are integrated into each other. Very juicy lighting, too. I love all your art but I REALLY love this one.
