A study of a green heron, waiting for a fish. I loved watching these guys fish in the crick across the street from my parents house.
Just me experimenting and playing around. The heron's body is a bit too stout. That's okay, this was a learning experience. Various references used for markings, but nothing directly. Watercolor on 6" x 12" cold press. |
