In The Crook Of The Oak by Nambroth In The Crook Of The Oak by Nambroth
This was commissioned as a cover illusrtation (hence the wide composition, where the fox and stag would be on the front cover) by Shadetree Publishing.

Completed in Corel Painter, using mainly the Acrylic Brush.

I am not familiar with the book but I more than like the art for it, and no text covering it either. I like the canine and the stag in the distance of this image, at sunset. The plain yet elegant imagery is as good as ever even to the moss and the oak trees very nice. :)

Oh wow, what a beautiful atmosphere! I think it will make a lovely wrap around cover :D. The deer looks almost subtly hidden in the background, creeping up on the fox(?). Very nice!

The composition is offset, because it is a wrap-around book cover. :)
