Their is nothing quote like the bald eagle to be a symbol of freedom in America to me and this pic does speak that. I like this portrait style close up of the had so it can show a the subtle nuances that this pic done with paint has in it. It also being close up give a ridged boldness to all the finite details in the soft feathers as well, plus the classic eagle eyes as you have so eloquently made as well, very nice work.
What do you use to outline? I use a zebra ballpoint pen for everything and it doesn't run with water or anything, but it smudges with colored pencils and was curious if you knew anything that would give the same clean lines, but not...smudge.
Hmm...I'll have to find some and try 'em out. Thanks! Also, I love how you used some yellows and such to shade the feathers. Looks so much more natural. (I'm an amateur watercolor user, and am trying to be as awesome as this...I have a ways to go, though. XD)
