Artist's Comments

It's rare that I find time to do art just for fun anymore, but that's where this came from! There are a number of ways his/her leafy antlers and wings can be interpreted, so I'll keep quiet and leave that to the viewers!

This was done in straight inks and Prismacolor markers on 9" x 12" Bristol, so there are a ton of mistakes, but all in all it was supposed to be a brainless ink drawing just for fun!

Wow, I love this so much! I 'm fond of the whole leafy tree dragon idea, it's so interesting. The shading and the pose and everything just is great! I'm faving this. Brilliant job again!

Take me above your light, carry me through the night, hold me secure in flight, sing me to sleep tonight.

I just love the greens and golds used in the dragon, they really draw your eye up to where it's perched on the rocks.

To the funny farm! With trees and flowers and chirping birds, and basket weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes and they're coming to take me away hahaaaaaa......

I'm so glad you noticed! :)

Wow... your rocks are so rocky, and dragon is so pretty. I see him as a spirit of Autumn and Earth and getting old. Like wise-old-man old. And given that interpretation, I'd love to see dragons for the other 4 seasons/elements. But then again I love to see any of your art. ^^'

I love the coloring of the wings and rocks ^^

Awesome idea, and a really good job translating it to paper. It flows very nicely ^^

but...I wonder how the dragon feels about getting stuck in one place, because of it's roots ^_~

maybe a front for a B-Day card? LOL
