An extreme speedpainting of an Okapi! Done live in one hour for the great folks watching our show, Scientific Illustration!

The show is a live Ustream show, where I paint the animal live while SageGoat gives a great biological narration. The show is just for fun and I am not claiming to be in the Scientific Illustration field.

That looks awesome! You don't see okapis in art very often around here. They don't even look like a real animal. It's like somebody just stuck a whole bunch of other animals together. lol

Though I've never seen many pictures of Okapi's, I'd have to say this is quite accurate. You did wonderfully at the colors, and made the whole thing look very natural. Great Job!

Okapi's always seem so soft and velvety. Perhaps this is why I have an okapi plushie. :)
