A Peregrine Falcon peers skyward during the warm evening glow... I wonder what he sees?

Inspired by several studies and photographs I did from a educational falcon.

9" x 7" tube acrylics on illustration board.
Sadly the scan of this isn't the best, it's more luminous looking in person.

This painting is so beautifully detailed & colored that, if it were up to me, it'd be on the cover of "Frightful's Mountain" (assuming the peregrine is female).

Very nicely done. How is this possible in acrlics ? Color pencils - ok, Watercolor - ok, oils- ok... but acrylics ? Everytime I touch that color it just ruins every picture. ^^
