A really pretty marquis cut moonstone carefully hand wrapped in Argentium sterling silver.

Moonstone is an amazing stone, when you move it the stone comes alive with colors flashing within. The effect is similar in appearance to opal fire. It is called chatoyancy, which is a fancy way of saying that the color 'flashes' or 'rolls' across the stone, like cat's-eye but far more vibrantly. It is a natural stone, and the effect is caused by refractive layers within the stone. It cannot be simulated or dyed to look that way!

I hand wrap these pieces with nothing more than my fingers and a tiny pair of pliers. I purchase the stones already polished from rock and gem shows.

Thanks for looking. :)

I totally agree with ~Eibhlin-san's comment. It reminds me of elves' jewels! :giggle:

I'm crazy about all your jewelry, and I really love moonstones and labradorites. I visited Nepal and recently visited with some Tibetan monks who sold traditional jewelry and your art looks so much like their traditional silver-work. Check it out it's uncanny! Very very beautiful :)
