This is another relief painting (in both meanings of the word!). It is textured with acrylic gel and acrylic paints with ink linework underneath everything.

I was going for an antique, sepia look here and though you can't tell, all the raised textured areas have been highlighted with a pale iridescent gold and it's very pretty. Again, one that needs to be seen in person.

I'm working on several large, time consuming commissions right now that at times threaten to suck my brains out with a straw, so I work on these sorts of things in-between as a free, creative outlet-- to keep from going mental.

Ink, acrylic paint, acrylic gel and metallic pigments on 8.5" x 11" paper.
