Artist's Comments

A commission done for Soreth of his dragon self. One must wonder what the gull is thinking.

Chunky oil pastels, digital watercolors, and a little bit of the acrylics in Painter.

Wow, this is gorgeous! I love the background, and how the dragon blends in so well, and yet pops out and draws the eye. Excellent!

So pretty!!!! I love it!!

That's absolutely breath taking! :) The dragon is so majestic, he must have frozen the gull to the spot with fear and awe! Great, GREAT (even though that word is not nearly strong enough!!) work!

Whoa, this is excellent. I love the way the dragon looks so natural just sitting on that rock, and the way the background looks rather loose up close but almost photorealistic when looked at from a distance. And, of course, the seagull is awesome.

That being said, I'm going to add this to my favorites.

Wow, beautiful! There is a real strong interaction between the creatures in this piece! And the water looks quite real. Lovely!

Wow, a dragon in a tropical setting! That's not something you see every day! For some reason it puts me in mind of Pern. Specifically the fire lizards in the Singer trilogy.
