Every day she roused, as the first hints of dawn caressed the sky, fingers of pale bluee creeping across the heavens. She took the specially crafted green glass vessel and hooked it up to a series of carrying cables, the small crystals that adorned it twinkling in the blossoming morning light. Clipping some of the cables to her hindlegs, and taking up a carrying bar in her fore, she watched the sunrise... waiting for the moment just before the sun crested the Earth's sphere.
With a cry, she launched herself into the air, powerful wingbeats carrying her out over the ocean's surf.
