Artist's Comments

Sorry about the glare on the righthand side; I was having a terrible time taking a decent photo of this one. If I can get a better photo I'll be sure to update this. Also, the colors are not true to life; the painting looks much nicer in person.

This is oil on stretched canvas and is 16" x 20". I'm not sure how to approach oils just yet, at this was really about my frist serious painting in oils. I'd have liked to have done more with this, but I needed to complete it in less than three weeks, and when you have to paint on the enclosed porch in the middle of summer, your patience tends to lessen due to the 90°F temperatures!! So I know there are mistakes, and I learned a lot about oils, but needless to say I love the medium and will try to do more with it once the weather cools down a bit.

This piece is very much for sale, please feel free to contact me if you are interested.

Edit: 3/2/06 Finally got a better photo of this one!

Eh.. Glare happens. I ADORE the crystals.. but i'm generally partial to them. :)

The hallowed lands so far behind
As fleeting dreams still linger
Like distant voices through the rain
Like grains of sand cast from my hands

Gorgeous as usual! We'll forgive the glare. ^^

Glare? who cares about glare? great painting, great vegetation. The only thing that might not be as good as the rest are the wings. It might need some more work there, but dont really care. The painting as a whole is great :)

-^o^- Oh....oh wow....

This dragon is very beautiful! It has a gorgeous, attentive face and its lovely, blue scales match beautifully with the water and the emerald background. The crystals in the water are pretty in a mysterious sort of way. I'm kinda curious as to why they're there, but then again, it would take away from the mystery of the piece to ask.

I love this, as I love all your work!

Pfft...then again, it's called the "Wishing Place", so that might say something about the crystals.....gosh, I'm dense sometimes o.o;;;;;
