Velocirooster Mongoliensis by Nambroth Velocirooster Mongoliensis by Nambroth
This is NOT supposed to be a scientific recreation. I just wanted to slap rooster attire onto a velociraptor. I have no regrets.

Painted in Corel Painter, Acrylic brushes.

I have already been asked about prints, so yes, they are happening here. featherdust.storenvy.com/colle…

Haha, this is fantastic! I have a pet green-cheek conure who struts around like that all the time, especially when he's in the shower. All I can think of is your velocirooster walking back and forth across my shower door, bobbing his head at me.

Welp, there is a reason I call my chickens "my little velociraptors." XD I adore them, and of course they're actually very sweet! But dear god they would be quite terrifying if they were much bigger. I approve of this arts. XD

Love the combination of rooster and pure dinosaur. Well, they always say dinosaurs were similar to birds. It would be pretty rad if they actually looked like this, though!

Haha!  I've been wanting to do this exact thing for a while now, but I've just been too "chicken" to start drawing again.  lol Yours is a whole lot more realistic than mine would have been, though.  Look at all that nice atmosphere!

Don't know if it's been said already but this is awesome, and it reminds me of The Urbz, where if you were up too late at night you'd sometimes encounter and get mauled by a Velocirooster. XD yes, seriously, a velocirooster. XD

Terrifying. I've heard epic stories about the bad-temperedness of roosters (when my oldest sister was little and my mom kept chickens, one rooster in particular always wanted to tear into my sister when she went to gather eggs...and mom had to chase it with a broom almost daily.)

Rooster feathers aside, I don't see why dinosaurs wouldn't have had things like combs and wattles. No way to know since it's all soft tissue. They could've had frigate-bird like pouches and all sorts of things.

I'm sure many of them had neat soft tissue adornments that we may never learn about!

Beautiful detail work on the feathers, and seamless blending of the two critters.  Well done!  :w00t:

What a stud! I imagine he's thinking about flipping a protoceratops inside-out.

A+ iridescence and texture on the feathers. Beautiful! Teach me your ways!
