Small Elegant Labradorite by Nambroth Small Elegant Labradorite by Nambroth
I wasn't sure if I wanted to post my jewelry up here, but what the heck.

A lovely smaller piece of labradorite wrapped by hand in .925 sterling silver. Labradorite is a glorious natural stone; it is an amazing form of feldspar that comes to life when the light catches it- then there is a flash of color (labradorescence) across the surface like the northern lights!

I can only hope I did the stone justice with my wire-wrapping job.

[[ Yes- I do sell my jewelry, please see my Journal if you are interested. Thanks! ]]

I just received the pendant in the mail the other day. And the photo is beautiful, but the way the stone sparkles in the sun is truly magnificent.

I'm very proud to own a piece of you incredible artwork.

Thank you very much Jennifer!

Is it this pendant you purchased? (apologies- I rarely have enough brains to connect paypal accounts to people's accounts on here)
Thank you so much! It's wonderful people like you that allow me to continue creating these. :) I'm so glad you like it in person. These stones truly only come alive in our hands, in person.

It's absolutely my pleasure. I love supporting artists, being somewhat of a not-so-starving artist myself anymore.

I definitely think you did the stone justice. The twists of the wire don't hide any of the stone's beauty, and it looks like a nice addition.

The neckband doesn't quite look like it fits. Is that the one you're going to leave it with?

Depends on the cost of the stone, the amount of wire used, how long it took me... etc. :)

Where do you get your lbradorite? do you order it online or personaly select it? I found a shop kinda near me but it only had lower quality flat mostly unpolished stones about the size of the middle of your palm. :/

I have to order it online... there is no one remotely near me that sells stones like this loose. The downside is that when you order online, it often looks very different in person... it's kinda a gamble. :/

ya :/ online and magazines never catch the stone right and they often try very hard to hide flaws.. or you dont get to see the stones at all, its just a bundle order and you have to hope you get your monies worth...

So is this stuff sorta like moonstone?

Yes, they are both forms of feldspar. Moonstone typically has a light base where labradorite has a dark base. :)

I know, I was just saying is this sorta like moonstone, because moonstone has that pale blue color shine when you move it a certain way in the light.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Moonstone is labradorite- essentially it has a dark base whereas moonstone has a light base. :) High quality pieces have the flash of color that we all love. They are both Feldspar.

oh my! this one too is also very stunning!
Looking at the stone, though, it is almost as if I am looking into a forest... (maybe I just have a strange imagination), but anyhow, the wiring is beautiful as well...at first, from the small view, it looked like a present bow X3
